In this class, students will gain a strong foundation on throwing and hand-building ceramic vessels, while exploring techniques designed to personalize their basic pottery forms into unique works of art. Wheel throwing will focus on throwing mechanics while creating a variety of forms; Hand-building will focus on coil and slab construction to establish form. Secondary alteration will be strongly encouraged through various surface technique demonstrations. All levels are welcome but the main focus of the class will be taking your already established skills to the next level.
